Empowered by the achievements of our Ancestors and encouraged by our present excellence, Black men have a rich opportunity to transform their stressful situations into successful opportunities, while restoring a communal sense of brotherhood. A lack of self-awareness and social negation has presented an enormous opportunity, a KaIRas Imperative. To adequately address this unique historical moment, a keen sense of cultural competency is required to offer effective interventions.
As a post-traumatically stressed people, Black men often react from an unconscious set of psychosomatic triggers that keep us consciously responding to the situation at hand. To establish cognitive space between reacting - however appropriately - and responding, the KaIRas interventions aim to facilitate an enhanced sense of self-awareness through our coaching programs. We will utilize Gestalt techniques for understanding how past, figural life events and history (particularly early childhood) are used as outmoded lenses for defining how you live in the present. When this past-present is clear, we engage techniques as diffuse as breathing and meditation alongside quantitative analyses of decision-making and abstraction of consequences to expose hidden talents and obstructive perceptions that limit your fullness of human being. This increase in self-awareness, in turn, creates a generative quality of becoming, which then allows the cognitive space to reflect upon the blessings of your personal gifts and assets within the course of your life. Once established, you will be able to redefine your way of being in the world and independently utilized the tools of your new awareness tools to sustain this more conscious way of being. |
Don't ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
