Black Men represent the shadowed persona of globalization. Continuously seen as a physical threat to established social normsEvery developing nation has a negative
The Kairas Initiative is designed for professional Black men between the ages of 33 and 45 who are academically or experientially educated, self-aware and critical, and who recognize the futility of being Black and male in a white society that cannot appreciate our excellence. The KaIRas man has struggled and strived to the point of recognizing that there must be more than his present definitions of excellence if he is to be fulfilled within himself and on behalf of his community. KaIRas brothers are likely to have a deep sense of fraternity that melds into extended family. These deep connections tie them to the vital needs of our next generation in an intimate way through the children in their lives and their social networks. They desire and need a stronger connection to the Ancestral legacy and need coaching in order to capture its power for their own journeys and their ambitions as Black men. These men are leaders! They recognize our fundamental and indispensable role as leaders who have historically transformed the ideals and established new standards of excellence for the global community while serving the needs of the Black community. |
